Boston College has officially named Kevin Mahoney Professor Emeritus for his myriad accomplishments during his time at the School of Social Work. During 30-plus years as an academic and practitioner, Mahoney was a leader in the fields of gerontology, participant direction, and disability services.
President Obama has signed important legislation acknowledging a program designed and implemented with an important contribution from the National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services (NRCPDS), one of BC Social Work’s flagship centers.
This fall marked an important development in the history of BC Social Work’s National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services (NRCPDS), when Richard Petty was named its executive director. Petty also became research professor at the School of Social Work.
